I'm sure many of you watch lines/odds daily. I'm curious to how many if any, use premium services such as Sportsoptions or other oddstrackers? Or does everyone just use the free stuff available?
I used a couple premium ones a few times here and there depending on profits made. For the most part of the ones ive used I found them to be honest in the shadier of ways. Like a used car sales men. The used the same style as almost is standard. One to four picks daily. I did do some of the star services that depending on how confedent they were they would have a higher star. Only 1-5 at the highest so I saw it as someone here doing a $100-$500 bet baised on confidence however it's the reporting of records that the shady part. Without seeing every pick for a week, month, or year who is to say their record is correct? I can say myself having said services as long as two weeks that when they won and had a good day 2-1 or 3-1 they would b quick to post it and always showed the previous days picks. But on the flip side if it was a 1-3 they didn't show it and I was with them when they. Capped a few games I actually did but opposite of me when they were on a bad streak and they went 3 days as a 2-6 the days before that they were a 5-2 suddenly everything for those loosing days weren't updated. For almost a week. Finally after they had a couple great days to where they could put a 14 day 21-15 up they didn't update. I know it could be bad business to post loosing days for new customers but if u stand behind ur method and ur system you should stand even when your picks fall and post up the plays.
No free stuff is good stuff TSP. I would suggest getting a free trial instead. But if you really prefer free, I would suggest downloading a mobile app LIVE ODDS, SCORES, INJURIES by sportsinsights. It took me more than 6 months just to understand how track and navigate through the lines. These sites teach you to bet against the public most of the times but you will have to see through what is really going on why these lines are moving. Having a subscription will give you more feel of its movements. Learn to find steams and squares and use them with caution. Goodluck
I like to to filter out plays that are getting slammed by public action as a loose rule. So I do utilize this information, but I don't pay. Between covers consensus, line movements covers tracks, pregame.com, scoresandodds.com it provides me the information I like to see. You certainly could get more quality from a pay service, but at the same time getting in bed with line movements, steam, public %'s, etc is beneficial but also reactive. Any system that reacts to the market vs getting ahead of it is not ideal in my opinion. If your simply shopping, don't live in the US and have access to several books I would certainly pay for one of these services just to always ensure getting the best number. Unfortunately in the states we don't have a lot of flexibility with multiple books.
Yea, that is what I'm really wondering. Some of the free ones are pretty quick and reliable, so how much more could the premium ones get compared to the free ones.
